Nic Nemeth, better known to WWE fans as Dolph Ziggler, is putting TNA Wrestling on his shoulders and making it known that the company deserves its share of the spotlight. As the reigning TNA World Champion, Nemeth has been tearing it up in the ring against top names like Josh Alexander, Alex Shelley, Eddie Edwards, and Mustafa Ali, but he’s still facing one major challenge: getting more fans to pay attention to TNA’s red-hot product.
Speaking with RG Bros Entertainment, Nemeth opened up about the hurdles he’s working to overcome. Specifically, he’s calling out wrestling fans who still don’t know that TNA is firing on all cylinders.
“Every once in a while, people are like, ‘Hey, we love Impact, we love the pay-per-views, we watch what you’re doing,’ and then someone will go, ‘I follow you on social media, I’ve watched everything you’ve ever done, do you still wrestle?’ I go, ‘Ugh, come on man.’” Nemeth explained.
He’s not taking it lightly either, passionately urging fans to tune in and see for themselves what TNA has to offer. “Bro, AXS TV, YouTube, TNA Plus app, check out the show,” Nemeth said. “If you like wrestling and you watch the show, you’re going to be instantly engulfed in it because the infrastructure is there, the storylines are there, the talent is through the roof.”
Nemeth even broke down why TNA might just be the perfect alternative to its bigger competitors. “Sometimes people say AEW is a little fast with stuff, sometimes WWE goes way too slow in molasses with the same predictable stuff. We are someone that I feel like we’re this happy medium,” he said. “You don’t know who’s gonna show up, you don’t know who’s gonna be fighting for the title, you don’t know who’s going to show up in my match against Joe Hendry at Genesis in the main event.”
As TNA continues to build its momentum, Nemeth is all in on ensuring that more fans give the brand a chance.
