Hammerstone has been absent from in-ring action since his last match at TNA Turning Point on November 29. Although scheduled to compete at the TNA Final Resolution pay-per-view on December 13, the company announced he would be unable to wrestle due to injury. Hammerstone later revealed that he required surgery to address a knee injury.
On December 23, Hammerstone shared an update on Twitter, confirming he had undergone surgery. He posted a photo from his hospital bed, mentioning “post panic attack” in the caption but he made it clear the surgery was a success and he is now on the road to recovery.
Initially, Hammerstone described the injury as minor and expressed hope for a quick recovery, aiming to return to the ring within a few weeks, so fans are optimistic about his in-ring return since they want Hammerstone to go back doing what he loves the most.
Hammerstone’s absence comes at a pivotal moment for TNA, as his high-energy performances have been key in driving the brand’s momentum. Therefore, we will have to wait and see what TNA will have planned for the highly talented professional wrestler once he is able to make his return to the squared circle.
