Kevin Owens has remained tight-lipped about his WWE future, leaving fans speculating whether The Prizefighter will stay with the company or test the waters elsewhere. But now, an insider update suggests Owens may have already made his decision.
Sean Ross Sapp addressed the ongoing mystery during his Fightful Select podcast, offering a crucial hint about Owens’ contract status. “I haven’t been outright told that he signed a new contract,” Sapp revealed, “but it’s safe to assume at this point.”
This comment comes after months of speculation about Owens’ next move. Earlier this year, Owens confirmed that his current deal with WWE is set to expire in early 2025. Despite rumors of potential AEW interest, the former Universal Champion has kept his cards close to his chest.
In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Owens spoke about WWE’s upcoming European Road to WrestleMania tour but dodged questions about his long-term plans. “I don’t think anything is sorted for those shows yet,” he said, while promising fans an event that could feel like “WrestleMania before WrestleMania.”
When it comes to his contract, Owens admitted his main goal is simple yet complex: “I just want to be happy, but I can’t tell you what that means exactly because I don’t actually know it either. I just want to feel fulfilled.”
While there’s no official confirmation yet, Sapp’s remarks suggest Owens may already be locked in with WWE. If true, this would solidify WWE’s roster heading into WrestleMania 41 and beyond, much to the relief of fans who can’t imagine KO Mania happening anywhere else.
