Bandido had been out of action for well over a year after suffering a broken wrist and finally made his triumphant return during ROH Final Battle last week. Unfortunately, he ended up sustaining another injury at the show and Bandido has now confirmed he did suffer a concussion, confirming the worst for his fans.
Bandido took to his Instagram, confirming he suffered a concussion at ROH Final Battle, thanking God for letting him wake up the next day. He said the hit was to a sensitive part of his head and now he has to wait for the brain swelling to go down. He thanked everyone who checked in on him and shared that it’s been hard dealing with his frustration.
Bandido stated that his biggest challenge is with himself, but he promised to keep trying to return to the ring. He ended his post with a quote from Rocky Balboa, reminding everyone to keep fighting no matter how hard life gets.
“All I can do is thank God for allowing me to wake up another day after all that has been through!. The blow was in a delicate area of my head, now just to wait till there is no brain inflammation. Thank you to all my people who have been messaging me asking about my current status!!. It’s been hard to cope with these days with myself, too much frustration runs over my head. The hardest battle of my life is coming, with myself!! All I can say is that I will try to return a thousand and one times to the squad!! so I achieve it at some point or stay trying…!
“Neither you, nor me, nor anyone will hit as hard as life but no matter how hard you do it!” No matter how hard you resist and keep moving forward, that’s how you win” ROCKY BALBOA”
After Chris Jericho defended his ROH World Championship against Matt Cardona, Bandido rushed to the ring to stop a three-on-one attack by Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith on Cardona. Sadly, the night took a bad turn when Bandido suffered a concussion.
Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update had reported that Bandido’s concussion happened during the post-match chaos. Meltzer explained that Bandido landed on the back of his head while performing a missile dropkick after Jericho’s victory over Cardona.
“We are told Bandido did suffer a concussion Friday night from landing on the back of his head doing a missile dropkick after the Chris Jericho win over Matt Cardona.”
This setback marks another challenge for Bandido, who has faced a difficult year of injuries. Fans and pro wrestlers alike continue to give him support and we pray he will be able to make his return as soon as possible, as Bandido has a lot to prove in the world of professional wrestling.
