Brett Lauderdale isn’t just running GCW from behind the scenes—he’s taking his hustle to the streets.
The GCW owner was spotted on December 21 handing out flyers for The People vs GCW event, which is set to take place on January 19, 2025, at the Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. What made the moment stand out even more? Lauderdale was promoting GCW right in the same area where AEW was taping Collision.
Lauderdale took to social media to share his dedication to growing GCW through grassroots efforts. “GCW came from nothing. There was no security blanket. We made our name & earned it in the streets,” he tweeted. He added, “These last 2 nights I left my family at home (I 💙 you) and returned to the streets (34th street to be exact) to hand out flyers in the freezing cold.”
The timing and location weren’t lost on anyone. Promoting GCW just steps away from AEW Collision tapings shows Lauderdale’s willingness to grind, even in the shadow of a major competitor. He followed up with another tweet to emphasize his passion: “…the tough get goin and goin and F*CKING going! Laugh or clown me if u want… I’m proud to be out here grinding & hustling and I’ll earn every ticket sold. I felt GCW pride tonite in my heart. We came from nothing. I came from nothing. I live for this shit. Bring it on.”
Lauderdale’s dedication to GCW proves he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make his promotion stand out, even if it means braving the cold and hustling right outside AEW’s backyard. Love him or hate him, one thing is clear—Brett Lauderdale’s passion for GCW is unmatched, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
