Mercedes Mone isn’t shy about celebrating her success, but her latest Twitter post has sparked a wave of backlash from fans. Following the December 21 episode of AEW Collision, the AEW star tweeted, “All Elite Women ,” a statement that didn’t sit well with many in the wrestling community.

The comment section quickly lit up with fans dragging Mone for her remarks. “Never that … there’s a long line of women at NXT that you couldn’t hold a candle to,” one fan fired back.

Others criticized her promo skills and accused her of being overpaid. “Learn to cut a promo before u incorporate yourself in that category,” one fan tweeted, while another added, “Pulling off the biggest bank robbery in wrestling history,” referencing her reportedly massive AEW contract.

Some fans also pointed out the perceived lack of focus on women’s wrestling in AEW. “Yet you guys only get one match on the card…” one person noted, while another sarcastically commented, “All tanking ratings with a stacked roster 😐.”

This backlash comes on the heels of Mone’s fiery Instagram Live session, where she defended her career move from WWE to AEW. “B****, I’m richer than I’ve ever f***** been. Putting on the greatest matches that I’ve ever had! So shut the f— up,” Mone said during the live stream.

Despite the criticism, Mone remains one of AEW’s most talked-about stars and is gearing up for a high-profile title vs. title match against Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
