WWE fans expecting a showdown between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed at Madison Square Garden’s Holiday Live tour on December 26 are in for a change. After Reed suffered a foot and ankle injury during the WarGames match at Survivor Series, WWE has confirmed a new opponent for Rollins: none other than Dominik Mysterio.

Reed’s injury, which reportedly occurred during a high-risk spot at Survivor Series, has left him sidelined, with some speculation that he could be out of action until after WrestleMania 41 in April 2025. This means WWE had to pivot from the planned Rollins vs. Reed feud and book a fresh matchup for one of the year’s most anticipated holiday shows.

MSG’s official Twitter account broke the news, posting a new match graphic with the caption: “🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio at the annual @WWE Live Holiday Tour at The Garden on Dec 26!”

The new pairing pits Rollins against Mysterio, whose villainous “Dirty Dom” persona has made him one of WWE’s most polarizing figures. Fans at MSG can now expect a clash of styles and personalities as Rollins looks to bring his signature energy against the cocky and controversial Mysterio.
