Britt Baker is dedicated to her career as a professional wrestler and takes it very seriously. At the same time, she is a successful dentist and proud of her profession. However, she has now shifted her focus more toward wrestling and explained the reason behind her decision
While speaking to DDP, Britt Baker explained why her dentist career has taken a backseat to wrestling. She stated that her dental office started feeling like a Comic Con event, with people coming in for autographs and photos instead of appointments. Some fans even made her staff feel unsafe, and there were times they had to call the police.
Baker noted that her busy travel schedule with AEW made things even harder. She shared a story about flying back and forth between Las Vegas and Orlando in one week to juggle both jobs, which left her exhausted. While she still helps her patients when needed, especially loyal ones or during emergencies, Baker said wrestling is now her main focus.
“Not anywhere near as much as I used to. It was turning into like a Comic Con since you can find me. People were coming in and asking for autographs, and pictures and they’d take up appointment slots and my staff were like, ‘Yo, we gotta make money and this isn’t it, Britt.’ Then there’s some scary fans, like it was like ‘Call the cops, they’re gonna come kill us.’ I’m like okay, with the travels, especially with Dynamite, Collision and pay-per-views.
The one Vegas loop, I did Dynamite in Vegas, that night flew the Red Eye back to Orlando and worked all day Thursday, took the Red-eye back for Rampage on Friday. It was crazy and it’s not good for anyone since you need sleep and rest. I had to move my schedule around so much for my patients. When they need me, they call me, I’m there. If the doctors are sick, or if it’s some of my ride-or-die patients who won’t see anyone else, but right now wrestling has to be at the forefront.”
Britt Baker is currently absent from AEW television as she is currently filming a project during her absence. Fans are eagerly waiting to see her back on AEW television, but they appreciate her for trying to maintain her dentist career despite her busy schedule.
