AEW brought the December 21 episode of Collision to the famous Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. Those pro wrestling fans are very passionate, and they are also very inventive.

During the opening Continental Classic match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet, fans were pumped to see that singles contest go down. Some fans also showed up, prepared for that match, and they knew exactly what to do.

Throwing ribbons is a sign of respect in pro wrestling for fans in Japan, and Will Ospreay saw a few streamers thrown in the ring during his entrance. Then, fans displayed their appreciation for Ricochet in a much different fashion.

When Ricochet got in the ring, fans threw toilet paper at him instead. This was not expected, and it also hit Will Ospreay in a hilarious way. Ospreay laughed so hard that he had to roll out of the ring, and then he appeared to bow to the fans’ inventive way of greeting the former WWE Speed Champion.

Ricochet didn’t seem to appreciate this, as he heaved a roll back into the crowd. Then he used it later on in his offense against Will Ospreay.

We will have to see how many more matches Will Ospreay and Ricochet have in AEW, but Christmas Collision was certainly a night that nobody will soon forget. It also appears that some toilet paper might have come up missing in the Hammerstein Ballroom bathrooms.
