The collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE has been a major highlight for wrestling fans this year. Many are eagerly anticipating Nic Nemeth’s return to television, particularly at the Royal Rumble. That is exactly why Nic Nemeth has addressed the possibility of making an appearance at the event next year, fueling further excitement among fans.

While speaking to Daily Star, Nic Nemeth addressed the possibility of returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble next year. He reflected on how he would approach such a moment, weighing nostalgia and promotion.

The TNA World Champion stated that he would consider using his old music to create an impactful moment, even though he might prefer his new material. Nemeth explained that NXT isn’t a priority for him because he has already been there, achieved success as NXT Champion, and left WWE with the intent of moving forward, not looking back. He emphasized that NXT should focus on its rising talents, who deserve the spotlight and opportunities to grow.

“I’m trying to think now—what music would be better to make everyone go, ‘Oh!’? I don’t know. As much as I’d want to hear my new music, I think we’d play the old stuff, and then maybe the new one on the way out or something.

But when it comes to NXT, I talked with our guys very early on and said, ‘NXT—first of all, I’ve been there, done that. I’ve been the NXT Champion.’ Also, I left WWE on purpose, not to go right back. Plus, we have so many young up-and-comers, guys and gals. I was like, ‘Put them in that spot,’ which they were already doing. But it was just like, I want to focus on those guys and gals, getting a few more eyes on them.”

Nemeth admitted that a Royal Rumble spot would be an exciting opportunity, imagining himself wearing his old trunks, playing his classic music, and kicking people in the face for a memorable appearance.

However, he stated that his main motivation for participating would be to create a viral moment that could bring attention to TNA. He concluded by noting that while it would be enjoyable to reconnect with friends and experience the energy of WWE again, his decision to leave wasn’t due to any hatred but a desire to explore new challenges.

“A Rumble spot, though? Dude, that’s so cool. WWE’s killing it right now. To do something fun—wear my old trunks, get the old music to play, come out there, and kick somebody in the face—that would be awesome.

But the most important thing would be creating a viral moment, so I could talk about TNA. That’s the only reason I’d want to do it. It’d be cool to see some old friends, but most importantly, I just—you know, I left on purpose. Not because I hated that place. They’re killing it right now.”

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is set for February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium, and fans are eagerly waiting for big surprises at the show. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Nic Nemeth will make his return at the Premium Live Event as fans would more than love to see him back, even if it’s just for one night.
