Despite rumors swirling about the sale of WWE’s original headquarters in Stamford, CT, it turns out the iconic building is still owned by the company. PWInsider.com has confirmed that “WWE has NOT sold the old Titan Tower building in Stamford, CT.”
The confusion stemmed from reports about the sale of WWE’s old production studio on Hamilton Avenue. While that property has been sold to the Darien-based development firm V20 Group for nearly $7.5 million, Titan Tower remains unsold.
The production studio, spanning 33,000 square feet on a three-acre lot with additional parcels nearby, was a major part of WWE’s history but is a separate entity from the iconic Titan Tower. V20 Group plans to convert the former studio into a high-end warehouse for distribution or similar uses, but there are no plans for residential development.
However, WWE Headquarters remains untouched and still part of WWE’s portfolio as the company operates from its new Global Headquarters, also in Stamford. This relocation marks the end of an era for WWE, but Titan Tower’s legacy remains intact for now.
Fans of the wrestling giant may still hold onto memories of the original headquarters, which has been synonymous with WWE since 1985. The fate of Titan Tower remains a topic of interest, but for now, it’s not going anywhere.
What’s your take on WWE’s decision to keep Titan Tower for now? Do you think it will eventually be sold, or should WWE preserve this piece of its history? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
