AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May isn’t holding back, especially when it comes to her ongoing rivalry with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. During an interview with Niko Exxtra, May addressed claims that Mone’s title reign might be overshadowing her own, and her response was nothing short of bold.

“I think she’s been given a lot more than me,” May said. “I would love to have more time and more opportunity, but I think that I’ve always been underestimated. In one minute, I can make you remember me. In one minute, I can get a million impressions. So that’s fine. Stack the deck against me—I always shine.”

May’s comments reflect her confidence and resilience in the face of competition, especially as her stock continues to rise as the AEW Women’s Champion. The rivalry between May and Mone has only grown more intense, with May recently taking shots at Mone’s merchandise sales and even agreeing to help her by becoming a “Money Shop Girl,” claiming Mone “needs the help.”

“I wouldn’t say we have anything to do with each other. We don’t share a locker room; I don’t see her at all. She tried to talk smack and say she wants me to be a ‘Money Shop Girl,’ but you know what? I will, because she needs the help,” May remarked.

May further emphasized her dominance by pointing out the success of her merchandise, specifically the AEW All In plaques, which sold out in five minutes, compared to Mone’s, which she claims are still sitting unsold.

“Guess what? I’m a top merch seller—she’s not. We released some All In plaques from all of our matches. Mine sold out in five minutes, and last time I checked, hers is still sitting there. Clearly, people want to forget about that match, and I don’t blame them. But keep talking smack—I’m the world champion. You know where I’m at.”

Mariah May’s fiery words and unshakable confidence prove that she’s ready to take on any challenge, whether it’s from Mone or anyone else. Her ability to turn the spotlight onto herself, even when facing criticism, is why fans can’t stop watching her rise.
