WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was a night full of unforgettable moments and amazing matches, with fans around the world tuning in for a dose of nostalgia and more. The viewership for the show has finally released and this has now led to a lot of discussion among the pro wrestling fan base.
According to Wrestlenomics, the December 14th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event garnered an overall viewership of 1,590,000 with a 0.42 rating in the crucial 18 to 49 demographic.
Saturday Night’s Main Event was headlined by Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, which saw Rhodes retain but then get taken out of action by Owens.
The show also featured GUNTHER successfully retaining his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest and Finn Balor, Chelsea Green becoming the first-ever Women’s United States Champion and other solid matches took place throughout the night that kept fans entertained and at the edge of their seats.
It is certainly safe to say that Saturday Night’s Main Event was a huge success for the company, after bringing back the show for the first time since 2008. With their next show set to take place in January next year, fans are eagerly waiting to see whether it will surpass the December 14th show.
