The December 17 episode of WWE NXT left fans hanging when The CW abruptly cut the broadcast, robbing viewers of a heated confrontation involving Shawn Michaels. But don’t worry—WWE wasted no time addressing the situation, releasing the full footage on social media about an hour later.

The chaos unfolded during the controversial NXT Championship match between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe. Both men had their shoulders to the mat as two referees counted simultaneous pinfalls, leading to confusion about the result. General Manager Ava declared Trick the champion, but Thorpe wasn’t having it.

In the footage, Thorpe angrily confronted Ava, and things escalated when Shawn Michaels stepped in to diffuse the situation. The Heartbreak Kid found himself on the receiving end of Thorpe’s fury and was shoved in the process. Before Thorpe could do more damage, Trick Williams intervened, shutting him down with a brutal Trick Kick.

The footage also confirmed that the match was ruled a no contest, allowing Trick to retain his NXT Championship.
