Chelsea Green is taking her victory lap—along with a little credit for WWE’s massive ratings success.

After Saturday Night’s Main Event brought in a whopping 2.3 million viewers across NBC and Peacock, Green couldn’t resist jumping in on the celebration. Responding to Sports Illustrated’s coverage of the ratings, the newly crowned WWE Women’s United States Champion made her stance crystal clear, tweeting: “That’s what happens when your fave future Hall of Famer wins the inaugural championship.”

The numbers don’t lie. WWE’s return to Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14 was a huge success, with 1.59 million tuning in live on NBC and another 700,000 streaming it on Peacock. Green’s big win over Michin to become the first-ever Women’s U.S. Champion was one of the night’s standout moments, so it’s no surprise she’s claiming a slice of the credit pie.

Fans quickly lit up the replies to her tweet, with some applauding her bold confidence and others firing back with their own takes. Love her or not, Green knows how to keep people talking, and she’s clearly ready to ride this momentum as WWE heads into 2025.
