CM Punk is riding high in the wake of Survivor Series: WarGames, where he helped Roman Reigns’ Bloodline beat Solo Sikoa’s variation. Now that is over for him, Punk is onto his next mission, and Seth Rollins seems to be his next target.
During the December 16 episode of WWE RAW at Boston’s TD Garden, CM Punk kicked off the show. Punk took a few big shots at Seth Rollins as he eventually told the Visionary that he’s willing to give that pro wrestling lesson he wanted for free so many years ago. Then Punk said that there aren’t enough staples in the world to put Rollins back together when he’s done with him.
Seth Rollins eventually interrupted that promo, and it set things off in a big way. It was evident that Rollins vs Punk couldn’t wait. The two ended up brawling at ringside, which was a big way to start off the show this week.
Adam Pearce eventually announced that CM Punk and Seth Rollins will battle during the January 6 RAW debut on Netflix. This match was made during a backstage segment as Pearce made the match official.
CM Punk was on WWE RAW during the December 9 episode, where he cut quite a backstage interview. After saying that now is not the time to speak about the favor that Paul Heyman owes him, Punk addressed his feud with Seth Rollins. We will probably see the two collide at this point, which is a big match that WWE has had in their back pocket for a while.
