Xavier Woods isn’t holding back his frustration with WWE’s handling of the tag team division. The New Day member took to Twitter on Saturday, December 14, and aimed his criticism directly at WWE official Adam Pearce. Woods questioned the lack of consistent title defenses for the World Tag Team Championships, currently held by The Judgment Day.

“Hey @ScrapDaddyAP,” Woods tweeted, “if Finn wins the World Heavyweight Title tonight then is it gonna be another 70 days before the World Tag Titles are defended again?”

Pearce didn’t let the comment slide and fired back, “You lost your last tag match to Alpha Academy in like 30 seconds.”

But Woods wasn’t done. He clapped back, accusing Pearce of dodging the real issue:
“I ask a legitimate question about your clear mismanagement of the tag division and instead of answering, you respond like a troll. This was Judgment Day’s first defense 70 days into their reign. But I guess you only wanna rectify things when it suits you.”

This heated exchange comes on the heels of The New Day’s controversial storyline twist, where Woods and Kofi Kingston turned on their longtime partner Big E. Since then, both Woods and Kingston have embraced their new villainous roles, much to the dismay of WWE fans who loudly booed them on the December 9 episode of RAW.

As The New Day navigates their new heel dynamic, it’s clear that Woods isn’t afraid to stir the pot both in the ring and on social media. Whether his callout will lead to actual changes in WWE’s tag division or simply more drama remains to be seen.
