GUNTHER is widely regarded as the epitome of professional wrestling and an exceptional talent in the ring. Known for his meticulous approach to the craft, he is respected for ensuring the safety of his opponents during matches. That’s precisely why GUNTHER has received backstage props for saving a particularly trick spot during his match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Corey Brennan from Fightful Select took to Twitter and commented on a clip showing GUNTHER saving a tricky moment in his match against Damian Priest and Finn Balor at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In the clip, GUNTHER struggled to lift Priest for a powerbomb. However, he quickly adjusted, repositioning Priest while he was halfway off the ground, and successfully delivered the powerbomb onto the steel steps.

Corey Brennan reported that The Ring General received praise backstage for saving this particular spot, saying, “Told Gunther got a lot of praise backstage for saving this spot.” This just simply showed that GUNTHER is the ultimate professional and can quickly handle any situation if things don’t go according to plan.

Following this spot, GUNTHER would get back in the ring, hit a shotgun dropkick on Finn Balor before nailing a powerbomb on Balor to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship, in what was truly a dominant victory for The Ring General.
