CM Punk loves stirring the pot whenever he can, since he simply thrives on controversy and calling out people he doesn’t like. In fact, it appears he seemingly threw shade at Hangman Page after Page made a cryptic post directed towards Logan Paul.
WWE took to their Twitter account and uploaded a video of CM Punk being interviewed by Peter Rosenberg and Jackie Redmond following the conclusion of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
While talking about Koko B. Ware’s career in WWE, Peter Rosenberg pointed out how Koko had an amazing moveset inside the squared circle. However, this led to a negative response from CM Punk as The Second City Saint had strong words about the term “moveset.”
Punk said it’s garbage internet wrestling talk and called anyone who uses it an idiot. He specifically criticized wrestlers who use the term, saying it shows they don’t know what they’re doing, seemingly throwing shade at Hangman Page.
“Don’t say moveset. It’s garbage internet wrestling talk. If you say that, you’re an idiot. Especially if you’re a wrestler and you say moveset, that 100% tells me that you don’t know what the hell you were doing.”
Earlier this week, Hangman Page dropped a cryptic post about wrestlers stealing his moveset, which led many fans to believe he was talking about Logan Paul, saying, “I hope the next person who is given the majority of my moveset to use in the ring is at least kind of cool.” Therefore, fans believe Punk’s comments about moveset was a shot at Hangman Page.
CM Punk and Hangman Page have a lot of history together, as neither of them necessarily like each other. Regardless, The Second City Saint will always speak his mind, so it remains to be seen whether Hangman Page will respond to Punk’s remarks in the future.
Was CM Punk justified in his criticism of the “moveset” talk, or is he just trying to provoke Hangman Page? Let us know in the comments below.
