Kevin Owens Reveals Conversation with Jesse Ventura Ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Jesse Ventura, a longtime figure in the wrestling world, surprised everyone by making his return to WWE earlier this year. He is now set to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event this week and Kevin Owens has now revealed the conversation he had with Ventura ahead of the show.

While speaking on The Takedown, Kevin Owens revealed that he recently met Jesse Ventura for the first time, and their conversation lived up to all of Owens’ expectations. Owens shared that Ventura told him a story about wrestling a 60-minute match with Terry Funk, which Owens found fascinating.

The Prizefighter stated just how great it is to have legends from past eras share their experiences and wisdom with the current generation. Having Ventura return to WWE for a major event felt special to Owens, especially since it seemed unlikely Ventura would ever re-enter the wrestling world.

“I had a Terry Funk t-shirt on, and he told me a story about having a 60-minute match with him. It’s great to have him around. It’s great anytime we have one of the top stars from a different era in to talk to us and just kinda share their wisdom. But Jesse Ventura, how can I put it? It was almost so unlikely that he would ever kind of come back into this world. So to have him here again and be part of a big show like this, it’s pretty cool.”

Now that Ventura is back in the WWE fold, fans are looking forward to seeing Ventura and Owens interact on screen. Owens is excited about the idea and sees it as an inevitable moment that would be enjoyable for everyone involved.

“It feels like it’s bound to happen. Who knows when, but yeah, I’d love that,” Owens said. “Of course. I don’t know anybody who wouldn’t love the chance to verbally joust with Jesse Ventura.”

Jesse Ventura signed a Legends deal with the company and will be sticking around for a long time, so it is likely that he and Kevin Owens will have an interaction on WWE television one day and fans simply can’t wait for that. In the meantime, Ventura will keep himself busy as part of the commentary team during Saturday Night’s Main Event this week.
