Kevin Owens Blasts Cody Rhodes as a “Narcissistic Psychopath” in Heated Promo

Kevin Owens, never one to hold back, has been vocal in his heated feud with Cody Rhodes. Ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Owens delivered a fiery promo, labeling Cody a narcissistic psychopath, taking his feud with Rhodes to the next level.

The Prizefighter took to Twitter and uploaded a video of himself in his car, Kevin Owens had strong words for Cody Rhodes. Speaking from his rental car, Owens pointed out the contrast between their lives. He joked that Cody was probably making his statement from his luxury bus, wearing American Nightmare pajamas, a bathrobe, and slippers, with his driver filming it. Owens described himself as a regular guy, sitting in his car, using his phone, and wearing everyday clothes—a common man.

Owens said he and Cody live in two different worlds. According to Owens, in Cody’s world, it’s okay to use friends for personal gain, and then betray and hurt them just to stay in the spotlight. Cody, according to Owens, only cares about achieving his own dreams, no matter how it affects his friends. Owens made it clear that this isn’t right.

Despite all the betrayal and pain Cody caused him, Owens admitted he still has love for Cody. But tonight, it’s not about wanting to win the Undisputed WWE Championship—it’s about needing to win it. Owens believes Cody needs a reality check, and the best way to do that is by taking the thing Cody values most: the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Owens said that he is doing this for Cody Rhodes, to help him come back down to earth. He dedicated the match to the old Cody Rhodes—the friend he once knew, and not the narcissistic psychopath that Rhodes is now.

“I’m doing my closing words here from my rental car, I’m sure Cody is doing his from his luxury bus and a American Nightmare pajama and an American Nightmare bathrobe, slipper and probably has his driver here filming it for him. I’m not like Cody, I’m a normal guy, doing it in my car, I’m on my phone, wearing clothes that I wear everyday. I’m just a common man. Cody and I live in different realities. Cody lives in a reality where it’s okay to use your friend to your benefit and then spit in their face and stab them in their back just to keep the spotlight on himself and as long as he gets what he wants and achieves his dreams and accomplishes what he wants, it doesn’t matter how his friends feel, what he does to them.

That’s not right. I live in a reality where tonight I’m gonna make things right, but you know it’s crazy, after all this time, everything Cody’s done to me, the betrayal and everything and just how bad he’s hurt me, but I still have a lot of love for Cody Rhodes, I do. So tonight it’s not a matter of me wanting to win the Undisputed WWE Championship, it’s a matter of me needing to win it for Cody, to help Cody, because Cody needs to be brought back to reality, brought back down to earth with all of us and I think the best way to do that is to take what he holds dear, more than anything else in the world and that’s the Undisputed WWE Championship. I’m gonna do that for him. What’s gonna happen tonight is I’m doing it for him. Again, I’m gonna show Cody how people should act. By taking that title from him and I’m doing it for my friend Cody. I’m dedicating this match tonight to my friend Cody. The old one, not the narcissistic psychopath we see now.”

Kevin Owens is focused on his match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Long Island, NY, on December 14th and this promo certainly made fans realize he is more than determined to topple The American Nightmare once and for all, so we’ll have to see whether The Prizefighter will be able to accomplish his goal once and for all.
