Jesse Ventura is known for his sharp tongue and no-holds-barred commentary since he simply tells as it is. He returned to WWE earlier this year and is set to be part of the commentary team for Saturday Night’s Main Event and ahead of the show, he joked WWE could fire him for opening his mouth.
While speaking to the NFL, Jesse Ventura was asked whether any wrestlers of contemporary times reached out to him regarding his appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Ventura stated that they were “scared to death” and acknowledged that there were no limits to what could be said.
Ventura pointed out how WWE couldn’t control him 35 years ago and questioned why they would think they could now. He even jokingly predicted he might be fired by Saturday, explaining that he often gets in trouble for speaking his mind, trying to fix things, and calling out issues, which has caused problems for him in the past.
“They’re scared to death. Well, there’s no holds barred, and they understand that. Like I said, they couldn’t control me 35 years ago—what makes them think they can now? I don’t know. You’d better get them in here and interview them because, like I said, I’ll make this prediction: I could be fired by Saturday.
I don’t know. What do I ever get fired for? Opening my mouth about things, trying to right wrongs, and doing things of that nature. And then I get in trouble for it.”
Jesse Ventura will be appearing as part of the commentary team for all four Saturday Night Main Event shows in 2025, so fans are guaranteed to see the legendary professional wrestler for at least a year now. In addition to that, Ventura is set to call the action for a huge match at Saturday Night’s Main Event this week.
Jesse Ventura already signed a Legends deal with the company and is expected to be part of WWE for a long time, so we will have to wait and see how his commentary will be received by a new generation of fans during Saturday Night’s Main Event.
