WWE fans had several reasons to tune into the company’s big show on December 14, 2024. Saturday Night’s Main Event returned to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New Jersey and that included a banger between Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre, as he wanted to go after anyone who supports Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline.

This match started off the special broadcast on NBC. While Sami Zayn took a brunt of the punishment at the start, and he took a bump over the announce table before the commercial break, the Underdog From The Underground kept fighting back.

In the end, the finish came when Drew McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick out of nowhere. This came after Sami Zayn nearly won on several occasions.

Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre had a lot of animosity between them as they rolled into Saturday Night’s Main Event. The rivalry really got off to a big start when McIntyre ambushed Zayn during the December 2 episode of WWE RAW upon his return to television.

Zayn wasn’t happy about that at all, so he challenged McIntyre to a one-on-one match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The challenge was quickly accepted by the Scottish Warrior. This marked McIntyre’s first match since his Hell in a Cell clash with CM Punk at Bad Blood 2024. Now, Sami Zayn will have to continue chasing a win against Drew McIntyre.
