Bill Goldberg’s in-ring days may be numbered, but his son, Gage Goldberg, believes the wrestling legend is far from finished. During an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Gage confidently shared that his dad could step into the Royal Rumble and hold his own if the opportunity arises.

When asked about Goldberg possibly entering the Rumble to earn a shot at Gunther’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Gage said his dad hasn’t mentioned anything yet, but he’d be ready to go if called upon.

“He hasn’t told me that yet, but who knows?” Gage said. “He’d definitely do it. He’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy,’ he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.”

Bill Goldberg’s last WWE confrontation came during Bad Blood, where he went face-to-face with Gunther in a moment that had fans speculating about a potential clash between the two. At 57, Goldberg’s age has been a talking point, but Gage dismissed concerns, emphasizing his father’s mental toughness and preparation.

“I know he’s still got it,” Gage added. “He’s got a little while to prepare, I know he works his butt off in the gym every day. He’s getting his cardio up. I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad because he’s just got it [points to head]. It’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”

While Goldberg’s final match is expected to take place in 2025, his potential entry into the Royal Rumble would undoubtedly add a new layer of intrigue to his farewell run. Whether or not WWE decides to make it happen, fans can rest assured that the Hall of Famer would step up to the challenge.
