Saturday Night’s Main Event is shaping up to be a nostalgic spectacle, but last-minute changes have left fans with a major shake-up.

According to PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson, WWE had originally planned to close out the Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed feud with a final match on the broadcast. However, those plans were scrapped after Reed sustained an injury.

To fill the gap, WWE pivoted quickly, bringing Drew McIntyre back earlier than planned to kick off a program with Sami Zayn. This sudden adjustment ensures McIntyre will now face Zayn in a one-on-one match, adding a fresh dynamic to the show.

Despite the setback, WWE is still delivering a packed card for the Nassau Coliseum event. Cody Rhodes will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against Kevin Owens, GUNTER is set to battle Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and the first-ever WWE United States Women’s Champion will be crowned. Additionally, Liv Morgan takes on IYO SKY, and McIntyre’s clash with Zayn now adds to the evening’s drama.

Jesse “The Body” Ventura leads the legendary lineup, joined by Koko B. Ware, Greg Valentine, Tito Santana, and Jimmy Hart. While Ted DiBiase was initially scheduled to appear, he was forced to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.

WWE’s last-minute shake-up proves that the show must go on, and they’re pulling out all the stops to keep fans entertained. With Drew McIntyre stepping in and a stacked lineup still intact, Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to deliver plenty of drama and surprises. Whether the changes elevate the event or leave fans wanting more, one thing is for sure—this is a night you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned, because anything can happen in WWE!
