WWE is gearing up for their big Netflix debut, and now, the company has confirmed an exclusive kickoff show to celebrate the monumental move.
During tonight’s SmackDown tapings on December 13, fans got their first official look at what’s in store: the WWE Raw Netflix Kickoff Show is going down next Wednesday, December 18, 2024, live from WWE Headquarters.
The event kicks off at 2 PM EST and features some of the biggest names in WWE today. Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes, GUNTHER, and Liv Morgan are all set to make appearances, ensuring a stacked lineup for the historic show.
This confirmation comes after WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque dropped a teaser on Twitter just a day earlier, fueling speculation about what the company was planning. His tweet read: “Three weeks till #WWERaw on @netflix. Are you ready? First time ever. Our stars. Our fans. Open the doors to @WWE HQ. Next Wednesday. More to come…”
At tonight’s double taping of SmackDown, WWE pulled back the curtain, showing fans a graphic with all the details. The kickoff show will serve as a launchpad for WWE’s move to Netflix, which officially begins in January 2025. The partnership is being hailed as a game-changer for the wrestling world, opening WWE’s doors to a new global audience.
But the Netflix Kickoff isn’t the only must-see event on WWE’s calendar this week. This Saturday, December 14, Saturday Night’s Main Event returns live on NBC, bringing legendary names like Jesse “The Body” Ventura and Tito Santana alongside high-stakes matches like Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
