During the December 13 episode of SmackDown at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, the WWE Women’s U.S. Title Tournament moves closer to its conclusion. Fans have seen a lot of action, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Michin did not disappoint.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Michin and Bayley vs Minchin were the two semifinal matches during SmackDown this week. Those women are very close to the title, and all of them wanted to make history.
Tiffany Stratton and Michin brought their A-Game to SmackDown this week. In the match, which was recorded a bit early to accommodate tonight’s double taping, Michin beat Tiffany Stratton to advance in the tournament.
This may be a shocker for some fans to see Tiffany Stratton lose to Michin. She is still Miss Money in the Bank, so WWE may have a bigger title in the pipeline for her.
So far in the tournament, Bayley won the first triple threat match on the November 15 SmackDown, defeating Candice LeRae and B-Fab. Then, Chelsea Green advanced by defeating Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in another triple threat match. Michin secured her spot by beating Lash Legend and Piper Niven.
The semifinals were set to take place during the December 13 episode of SmackDown, with the final scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.
The WWE Women’s United States Title was first showed off during November 8 during SmackDown. Following this announcement, it was revealed that the RAW Women’s Division will also introduce its own Intercontinental Title, and there is a tournament going on right now during RAW for that title.
