Bayley Sets Her Sights on Roxanne Perez for WrestleMania Moment

Bayley has her eyes on making WrestleMania history again—but this time, her goal isn’t just about herself. The former WWE Women’s Champion recently revealed her “selfish” ambition to face current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in the rising star’s first-ever WrestleMania match.

Speaking on Going Ringside, Bayley couldn’t hold back her admiration for Perez. “She’s killing it as the NXT Women’s Champion,” Bayley said. “I know everybody wants to work with her, but I’m selfish, so I want to get her first Mania match.”

Bayley and Perez share a close bond, with Bayley describing herself as “tight friends” with the young champion. Perez’s friendship circle also includes WWE star CM Punk, solidifying her place as one of the most promising talents on the roster.

Bayley, a WrestleMania veteran, made her debut on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, successfully defending her Raw Women’s Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match. Earlier this year, she claimed the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40 in a victory over IYO SKY.

While she recently enjoyed some downtime after Survivor Series: WarGames, where she teamed with Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Naomi, and Rhea Ripley, Bayley is back in action. On December 9, she stepped into the ring for a dark match against Tiffany Stratton at the Intrust Bank Arena.
