Kevin Owens is currently a top star in WWE’s most successful era to date and he is well aware of just how much the company has changed after Triple H took over as Head of Creative. In fact, Owens credited the shift in talent and more for WWE’s incredible growth.
While speaking to Chris McPherson of Collider, Kevin Owens talked about WWE’s current shift in quality and overall growth, crediting the hard work of the talent and the creative changes as the key reasons WWE’s popularity has grown over the past year. Owens stated that the dedication of the roster, combined with the change in direction, has made WWE more appealing to viewers.
The Prizefighter noted that as things started to align better, people began to take notice, with many recognizing the improvement in the show. The shift in WWE’s creative approach also garnered attention outside of the company, ultimately bringing back fans and increasing interest in the product.
“It’s just really about how hard everyone’s worked for so long, and eventually, things kind of lined up right. People started paying attention more and realized the show’s pretty great. There are a lot of talented, hardworking guys and girls here, giving it their all every single week,” he said. “That change in direction made a lot of noise outside of WWE. I think that probably turned a few eyes toward us. Everybody started watching again and realized, like, hey, this is really good stuff now.”
Business is truly booming for WWE right now as each and every single show and Premium Live Event become sold out and continues to shatter records. Even Bully Ray dismissed the notion that WWE’s current success is simply because the company is in its honeymoon phase, which is not the case.
WWE’s move to Netflix in 2025 marks the start of a new era, bringing exciting surprises for fans. This change is expected to fuel even more growth and help WWE break more records in the upcoming year. With this shift, WWE’s momentum is likely to keep growing, showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
