New details about WWE’s LFG (Legends & Future Greats) series have surfaced, shedding light on what fans can expect from the upcoming competition show.
According to PWInsider.com, the December 10 taping featured some familiar faces behind the scenes as WWE works to bring its new project to life.
Alicia Taylor, known for her work as NXT’s ring announcer, was on hand to introduce the match, adding her signature energy to the event. Commentary duties were handled by Vic Joseph and Jeremy Borash, who brings a wealth of experience from both WWE and TNA. Borash, currently WWE’s Senior Director of Content and Development, has been working closely with Shawn Michaels on the NXT brand and played a key role in shaping this unique series.
The taping also showcased WWE’s minimalist approach to production for the series. While the LFG logo was displayed on the video screen, there were no custom ring aprons or announce table covers, suggesting the show will focus on substance over spectacle.
With LFG aiming to follow a format similar to Tough Enough, contestants will undergo intense training, compete in weekly matches, and learn the ins and outs of the wrestling business. Legendary figures like Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley are set to mentor the aspiring superstars.
Jeremy Borash’s involvement in the project is particularly noteworthy. Before joining WWE, Borash built his reputation with TNA, where he served as a backstage interviewer, play-by-play commentator, and behind-the-scenes producer from 2002 to 2018. His extensive experience is expected to bring a polished and authentic feel to the show.
