AEW is focused on running a tight operation, which is why they hire individuals with a shared goal to help the company reach new heights. That’s why it comes as no surprise they have hired a former WWE employee for a crucial role in the company.

According to a report by PWInsider, Chris Provino has been hired by AEW and will be working on sponsorships and partnerships. Provino was most recently with the XFL and has a background working for WWE as their Coordinator of International TV and Affiliate Marketing. He also has experience with UFC, where he was involved in marketing, athlete development, and international business development.

Provino isn’t the only former WWE employee that AEW hired this year, as they hired Kosha Irby, who serves as the Chief Operating Officer for AEW. He used to work in WWE as the Regional Director of Live Events for a long time. That’s why it is evident that AEW wants to keep on hiring the best employees possible for better improvement in key departments.

The company is gearing up to make 2025 one of the best years in AEW’s history and hiring Provino is certainly a step in the right direction, as sponsorships and partnerships are a crucial part of any business. Therefore, we will have to wait and see how Provino will fare in his new role in the coming months.
