WWE is kicking off its newest project, WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), with a bang, as the first match for the upcoming A&E competition series was taped during tonight’s NXT tapings in Orlando, Florida.

The match featured Performance Center recruits Anthony Luke and Elijah Holyfield going head-to-head in what promises to be the start of an exciting journey for WWE’s newest talent. Luke, a former San Diego State University defensive lineman, shares a personal connection to WWE’s main roster as the real-life boyfriend of Raw’s Maxxine Dupri.

On the other side of the ring, Holyfield brings athletic prowess from his NFL days with the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals, along with some boxing pedigree as the son of legendary heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.

WWE LFG combines in-ring action with behind-the-scenes drama, showcasing the journey of rising stars competing for a coveted WWE contract. WWE Legends, including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Booker T, will guide these hopefuls with weekly matches and expert mentorship. A&E describes the show as an “inside look at the rigorous training process,” with executive producers Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Jeremy Borash leading the charge.
