D-Von Dudley put his body through a lot of wear and tear because of his incredibly demanding schedule as a professional wrestler, eventually leading him to retire from in-ring action for a few years. Although he hasn’t been in the ring for a while, he has now addressed the possibility of competing in another match.
While speaking on The Wrestling Life podcast, D-Von Dudley talked about the possibility of making an in-ring return. He mentioned that every time he does one match, fans keep chanting for “one more match,” and they won’t stop asking for it. He acknowledged that the fans would keep pushing for more until the end.
However, D-Von Dudley stated that he is not ruling out the idea of returning but didn’t want to say “never.” He also mentioned there have been some talks about potential opportunities, whether in the United States or abroad in Japan. However, he clarified that these are just discussions for now, and nothing is set in stone.
“Here’s what I’m gonna tell you: every time you do one match, you say ‘one more match,’ and then the fans are going ‘one more match’ after that. Listen, they’re not gonna stop until you’re in the grave. You know, but I don’t know, I’m not gonna say never. There are some talks about things happening, whether it’s here in the states or even abroad in Japan. So, nothing, it’s just talks, that’s it. Nothing is being set in stone or anything like that. I’m saying that there were rumblings and talks about it.”
D-Von Dudley competed at the Impact 1000 show back in 2023 and his last match took place at IWC Superstar Showdown V back in April this year. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see when D-Von Dudley will compete in another match, as fans would love for him to step back inside the squared circle again.
