Sting continues to be a larger-than-life presence in AEW, and his return during the AEW All In Texas Countdown Show had fans on their feet. The wrestling icon made an unexpected appearance to help kick off ticket sales for AEW’s All In Texas event, scheduled for July 12, 2025, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

While fans hoped for a glimmer of hope regarding another match, Sting made it crystal clear that his in-ring days are over. “No more matches,” he said, shutting down any speculation of a return to the squared circle. However, he left the door open for a significant role at All In Texas, hinting at his presence for AEW’s marquee event.

This follows Sting’s announcement at the 58th Annual Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion, where he revealed he recently signed a multi-year deal with AEW. The agreement is focused on licensing and appearances rather than wrestling, marking his transition to a legend’s role within the company.

“I signed a multi-year deal with AEW, obviously not to wrestle anymore, but it’s like a licensing deal, a legends deal if you want to call it that. So I’ll do appearances with them on and off, depending on what they want and all,” Sting shared.

Sting’s legendary in-ring career may be behind him, but his influence in AEW is far from over. Whether he’s appearing on television, engaging with fans, or supporting major events like All In Texas, The Icon remains a vital part of the company’s identity.
