Rey Fenix, a cornerstone of AEW’s high-flying Lucha Brothers, is making waves with revelations about his ongoing struggles in the company. However, he’s been clear about one thing—contractual restrictions are stopping him from telling his side of the story. Fans are now left wondering what’s really happening behind the scenes as Fenix hints at significant issues.

The drama kicked into high gear when wrestling insider Chris Featherstone shared an explosive claim. According to Featherstone, a source within AEW revealed that the alleged rumors of Tony Khan reacting to the Lucha Brothers negotiating with WWE are untrue. The source added that the real story involves a “huge injustice” surrounding Fenix’s situation.

On Twitter, Featherstone explained why he delayed reporting the news. “I received information from an AEW source on November 20 regarding the Lucha Brothers’ status, but did not report it as I was waiting for one of them to begin speaking their mind about the situation (I was told that was coming),” he shared. Featherstone also noted that Penta El Zero Miedo, Fenix’s brother, had already left AEW and returned to AAA, further fueling speculation about the pair’s treatment in the company.

Fenix himself broke his silence—well, sort of. The former AEW Tag Team Champion acknowledged Featherstone’s report, calling it “so far the most accurate comment.” In a tweet, Fenix said, “Unfortunately, due to contractual issues I cannot speak now, but I will have my time.” Another post reinforced his intention to tell all when the time is right, reassuring fans that he won’t hold back when he’s finally able to speak freely.

This latest twist comes amid allegations that Fenix has been subjected to “inhumane treatment” in AEW. While details remain scarce, the cryptic comments suggest the issues are far from minor. With Penta already moving on from AEW, Fenix appears to be stuck in a holding pattern, unable to fully address his concerns without risking further repercussions.

For now, fans can only speculate about the depth of Fenix’s frustrations. When the time comes, though, his account could be a bombshell that exposes more than just typical workplace drama.
