WWE has a lot going on as they prepare RAW for their big Netflix jump. The New Day’s drama is only heating up, and the December 9 episode of RAW brought a big update in that situation.
After they showed a highlight videos of the New Day’s segment from last week, we got our latest addition to this new storyline. During the second hour of the show, Xavier and Kofi had a chance to speak.
As fans chanted “New Day Sucks!” they refused to answer Cathy Kelley’s question about why they did what they did last week. Instead, they took the camera and made their way to the ring while Woods carried Camera 6.
When the two finally got to the ring, fans were very riled up. Kofi Kingston couldn’t get much of his promo in without fans drowning him out with boos. Woods didn’t get much better treatment.
The New Day chastised fans for booing them so much after 10 years of positivity. “We Want Big E” chants started to pour toward the ring at that point. Woods tried to say that they didn’t do anything to Big E, but they booed him big time. Kofi Kingston then said they could have taken a steel chair or sledgehammer to Big E instead. This was not a good reaction for the New Day at all, but their heel turn was in full motion.
In the end, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston left in frustration without making their points. This was quite a segment for the New Day, but it won’t be the end of their story.
During the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston celebrated their 10-year anniversary by teasing a breakup. Then Big E came out and offered his weekly services as their manager, but they turned heel on him and kicked the former WWE Champion to the curb.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ heel turn was solidified last week on RAW. Now it appears that they will be going all in with it. Only time will tell what Big E’s involvement in their storyline will be in the future.
