Jesse “The Body” Ventura is back in the WWE spotlight, and fans are in for a treat! In an interview on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Ventura revealed he’s not just making a one-off appearance—he’s locked in to call all four of WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event specials in 2024.
“Handcuffs are off, I can say anything I want about anyone,” Ventura declared. “I am very excited about it. I don’t discuss finances, but it’s acceptable, and I’ll be doing four a year.”
Ventura’s highly anticipated return kicks off at the December 14th Saturday Night’s Main Event, airing live at 8/7c on NBC. Taking place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the retro-themed event will pay homage to the original Saturday Night’s Main Event that debuted nearly 40 years ago.
Ventura, who signed a WWE Legends deal earlier this year, hasn’t graced the WWE commentary table in over a decade. His iconic wit and fearless commentary style made him a fan favorite during the show’s original run in the 1980s. Now, with the freedom to speak his mind, Ventura’s return promises to bring unfiltered insight and entertainment to the broadcasts.
This multi-show deal further cements Ventura’s legacy in WWE history. The former wrestler and commentator, known for his over-the-top charisma, will call the action for an event series that already has wrestling fans feeling nostalgic. With Ventura’s return and rumors of other legends like Hulk Hogan and Wendy Richter possibly making appearances, this revival of Saturday Night’s Main Event is shaping up to be a must-watch experience.
