The upcoming Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event is already making waves before the first bell rings, with reports indicating it’s set to break Canada’s all-time gate record. WWE will bring the massive show to Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Saturday, March 1, 2025, and industry insiders are predicting a record-smashing night.
The current Canadian record-holder is WrestleMania 18, held at the same venue in 2002, which brought in an impressive $3,846,033. However, with WWE’s modern stadium shows consistently generating over $5 million in revenue, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter calls the 2025 Chamber event “a lock” to eclipse that figure, possibly by a significant margin. Meltzer added, “In a market like Toronto, likely significantly more.”
This milestone event follows this year’s record-setting Elimination Chamber at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, headlined by Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax for the Women’s World Title. With John Cena’s farewell appearance in Toronto as part of his retirement tour, ticket demand for the Rogers Centre show has skyrocketed, making it one of the most highly anticipated wrestling events of the year.
WWE has a storied history with Rogers Centre, hosting legendary moments like Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6 and The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18. Now, more than two decades later, the Elimination Chamber promises to add another chapter to that legacy.
With WWE’s next Premium Live Event, the Royal Rumble, kicking off the year, the build-up to the Elimination Chamber is set to be monumental. All eyes are on Toronto as the company continues to dominate the wrestling world with its record-breaking events.
