A rare piece of wrestling history has just set a new standard for memorabilia collectors. A 1982 Wrestling All-Stars Hulk Hogan card, graded as a PSA Mint 9, has sold for an astonishing $132,000 at auction, making it the most expensive wrestling card ever sold.

The card, part of the coveted Series A set from 1982, captures Hogan just before he became a household name in professional wrestling. Described by Heritage Auctions as a “brightly colored, high-grade example,” the card boasts perfect centering, sharp corners, and clean, unchipped borders. According to the PSA Pop Report, out of 435 known examples, only 17 have achieved the Mint 9 grade, with none graded higher.

Even in retirement, Hogan’s legendary status in wrestling ensures his memorabilia remains in high demand. The card showcases “The Hulkster” at the cusp of his meteoric rise, as he signed with Vince McMahon’s WWF in 1983, becoming the face of WrestleMania and a cultural icon. Known for his unforgettable matches, including legendary battles with Andre the Giant, Hogan’s influence continues to transcend the wrestling world.

This sale not only highlights the growing market for vintage wrestling collectibles but also solidifies Hulk Hogan’s status as an enduring symbol of professional wrestling.
