WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is sparking speculation about a potential return to wrestling following his December 3, 2024, appearance on NXT. While the industry legend has been vocal in the past about stepping away from the business, his recent comments suggest he might be warming up to the idea of getting back into the mix.

Bischoff, known for his creative mind and on-screen charisma, opened up on Busted Open Radio about what he truly misses in wrestling. Reflecting on his passion for working with talent, Bischoff revealed how much he enjoyed helping wrestlers improve their promos and in-ring confidence.

“It really would be working with talent,” Bischoff shared. “I loved the process of taking someone who was struggling with backstage promos or in-ring work and teaching them how to get comfortable. It’s about overcoming the nerves and learning how to communicate effectively in those situations.”

He also admitted to missing the thrill of creative collaboration: “Even back in TNA, I loved sitting around a table where someone might raise their hand and say, ‘What if we do this?’ Then someone else says, ‘That’s interesting, but what if we did that and added this?’ Suddenly, you’re building something right before your eyes. That energy is incredible when you have the right people in the room.”

Bischoff’s recent appearance on NXT—his first on the brand—has fans wondering if it’s reigniting his interest in working with young talent. While he acknowledged the challenges of traveling and his love for his current lifestyle, Bischoff admitted that being part of a collaborative environment still appeals to him.

“Realistically, no,” Bischoff said when asked about a potential role in NXT. “I mean, it’s something I wish I could do in a way, but I love where I live, and I’m not a big fan of traveling. If there’s anything I’d be passionate about, though, it would be working with talent. But like I said, I’m happy where I’m at, man.”

While Bischoff hasn’t committed to anything, his appearance on NXT and his willingness to entertain the idea of a comeback has fans speculating about what the future might hold for the Hall of Famer. Whether it’s NXT or another promotion, there’s no denying Bischoff’s expertise would be a valuable asset to the industry.
