Chris Jericho’s reputation as one of Canada’s most famous wrestlers is well-earned, and he never forgets his roots. Interestingly enough, he recently visited his hometown of Winnipeg, Canada, and stopped by his childhood street, which has been named in his honor.
The ROH World Champion took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself visiting his childhood street for the first time since it was named after him. The street called Wordsworth Way was also named Honorary Chris Jericho Way and Jericho pointed to the same in the video.
Jericho recalled the days when he would deliver papers, babysit, mow lawns, and shovel snow on that street. Jericho stated that having the street named in his honor was truly a meaningful and humbling experience.
“Part Two of our #JerichoHistory Winnipeg Series 🛑 Seeing my childhood street that was named after me for the FIRST TIME!! I used to deliver papers, babysit, mow the lawn and shovel the snow on this street and to have it named after me is a true honor!!”
