The Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota saw a huge show with NXT Deadline. The card featured a few key reasons to tune in, including another NXT Underground match.
Lola Vice and Jaida Parker were able to get at each other in the NXT Underground setting. This removed the ropes from the ring, and they also took on a special lighting feel to really bring out the fact that this was no normal grudge match.
This match was the second of the night, right after Oba Femi won the Men’s Iron Survivor match. Jaida Parker and Lola Vice went at it from the start of the match, and the action even spilled to the outside of the ring. The people wearing black who surrounded the ring were also not off limits when it came to taking bumps.
The finish of the match came after Jaida Parker took Lola Vice’s glove off and put it on her own hand. Then Jaida kicked and punched Lola around the ring and then Jaida left the ring to come back with a black belt. She tied Lola up with the black belt and drove her into the ring post. As she stretched Lola Vice, the referee was only there to call a submission.
They continued fighting until Jaida hit a teardrop on Lola while she was on the steel ring steps. This left Lola exposed in a bad way, and Parker eventually got a brick from under the ring, but Lola fought back. In the end, Lola Vice got an anaconda submission hold on and she won the match. Vice is still undefeated in NXT Underground matches.
Lola Vice and Jaida Parker have been going at it in recent memory. Things have escalated quickly at times, and Vice doesn’t even regret bringing a brick into the mix. NXT Deadline certainly gave them a chance to leave it all in the ring, even if the ropes were removed.
