WWE’s NXT Deadline took place on December 7 at the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Iron Survivor Challenge matches returned for the event, and the women brought a lot to the table.

The Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match this year saw 5 Superstars collide. Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer, ZARIA, Giulia, and Wren Sinclair were this year’s selected Superstars, with Vaquer, ZARIA, and Giulia looking to kick off their time in NXT with a title shot.

Wren Sinclair was actually the last competitor to win a spot, as she came out on top during the last chance match during the December 3 episode of WWE NXT. The No Quarter Catch Crew’s representative also brought everything she could to this match.

This match closed out the night as the main event, right after Trick Williams beat Ridge Holland to retain the NXT Title. Giulia and Wren Sinclair started out the match this year, and they got started a bit slow as the two felt each other out. Neither of them got a fall until Sol Ruca entered the match in the number three spot.

Giulia scored the first pinfall as she pinned Wren Sinclair just before ZARIA entered the match in the fourth spot. Wren got out of the penalty box just in time to eat a Soul Snatcher from Sol Ruca for a pinfall to send her back to the box and give Ruca a point in the match. Stephanie Vaquer entered the match in the fifth spot, and then things were kicked up a notch.

ZARIA picked up a pin on Giulia after she ate an F5. They continued, and Stephanie Vaquer got a pin on Wren Sinclair, and she wasn’t happy about that at all. This match was tied up across four competitors, with only Wren not scoring a point, as they reached the final minute of the match.

In the end, Wren got a pin as she got out of the penalty box on Sol Ruca to tie things up with one point for everyone in the match. The final moments of the match ticked down, and then ZARIA took a pinfall from Giulia, which gave her the big win.

In case you need to brush up on the Iron Survivor Challenge rules, the match begins with two competitors, and a new Superstar joins every five minutes until all five are in the ring. Points are earned through pinfalls, submissions, or disqualifications at any time during the match. Each fall earns one point, but competitors who are disqualified, pinned, or submit must sit in the penalty box. The winner also secures a future NXT Women’s Title match.

This really shakes up the NXT Women’s Division. The NXT Women’s Title match is now set for New Year’s Evil for Giulia and Roxanne Perez, and only time will tell what 2025 brings us.
