Fans were left wondering why Bayley was a no-show on the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, but the “Role Model” has set the record straight. Speaking on The SmackDown LowDown, Bayley revealed she took the week off to recover from the grueling WarGames match at Survivor Series: WarGames.
“What are you doing, telling them I’m not 100%?” Bayley playfully fired back at Byron Saxton. “I don’t think anyone’s 100% coming out of WarGames. That match is so brutal. We all know the stakes we take, all the risks we take just by joining the teams and being a part of it. I was in there from the very beginning, starting with Nia Jax. It took a toll.”
Bayley, who teamed with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Iyo Sky in a victorious effort against The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez), Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae, confirmed she used the time off to rest and recharge. “Let’s just say I’m happy that I got this week off to rest, okay? I get to rest. I get to study. I get to watch some Chelsea Green matches,” Bayley added.
WWE announced during SmackDown that Bayley will face Chelsea Green in the semi-finals of the Women’s United States Title Tournament next week, setting the stage for a must-see matchup.
How do you think Bayley will fare against Chelsea Green in the semi-finals? Will the week off give her the edge she needs, or will Green capitalize on any lingering WarGames fatigue? Share your thoughts in the comments!
