It’s Friday night, and you know what that means! The post-WWE Survivor Series: WarGames episode of SmackDown will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the December 6, 2024 episode.

WWE SmackDown Results (12/6/2024):

The show opens up with a video package recapping everything that happened this past Saturday at Survivor Series: WarGames. Michael Cole and Corey Graves then welcomes us to the show and reveals that “Big” Bronson Reed suffered a broken foot at Survivor Series: WarGames. It is also revealed that Tonga Loa suffered a torn bicep and Jimmy Uso suffered a broken toe. Videos of all three injuries are then shown.

We then see Apollo Crews arriving at the arena and at the same time, The new Bloodline is entering the arena as well. Jacob Fatu then kicks Crews on his head and they beat up security.

Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Cody Rhodes starts off by asking Minneapolis what they want to talk about. Rhodes then talks about the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Rhodes then says it’s the honor of a lifetime just to compete on Saturday Night’s Main Event, but it’s not that simple for him because of Kevin Owens. Before he can continue, American Made’s music hits and Chad Gable makes his way down to the ring alongside Julius Creed, Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile.

Chad Gable starts off by saying Nick Aldis put a call in to him about transferring to SmackDown with the WWE Draft around the corner and the people of Minnesota are simple minded and gullible. Gable then says Rhodes was the beacon of inspiration to him when he came back to WWE due to his work ethic and how he carried himself as a champion. Gable then says Rhodes was a bad friend to Kevin Owens similar to what Otis did to him in their Alpha Academy days. Gable then says Rhodes isn’t who he thought he was and calls him superficial. Gable then says all Rhodes cares about is what everyone else thinks of him, even if that means betraying his friends. Gable then tells Rhodes that he deserves what’s coming to him at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Rhodes then says he’s disappointed that Gable said what he just did because he sees a lot of himself in Gable. Rhodes then says like him Gable made things that weren’t just special as he maximized his television time. Rhodes then says he understands why Gable has respect to his name, then asks what happens to Nile, Brutus and Julius when Gable can’t own up to his mistakes. Rhodes then challenges Gable to a match and says he’ll go talk to Aldis himself to make things official. Rhodes then says Gable will be sorry for confronting him with the mood that Owens has put him as of late. Michael Cole then addresses the trade window and says the General Managers from all three brands are working on moving people around.

We then head to the back, where Chelsea Green approaches Bianca Belair and calls her Nancy Drew because she has to solve her Jade Mystery. Green then mocks Belair for losing the Women’s United States Championship Tournament Qualifying Match and Belair responds by asking if Piper Niven is the one who took out Cargill to get her out of the match. Niven then says she didn’t touch Cargill, but she will touch Belair in the ring later if she wanted. Belair then delivers a punch, but gets kicked by both Niven and Green and Niven tells Belair she will see her in the ring.

Jesse Ventura is then shown in the front row and Michael Cole talks about how he will join the broadcast team for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Tiffany Stratton then makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Elektra Lopez and Naomi follow.

WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament First Round Triple Threat Match: Naomi vs. 2024 Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton vs. Legado Del Fantasma’s Elektra Lopez

The match starts off with Tiffany Stratton brawling with Naomi. Elektra Lopez then sends Naomi out of the ring and sends Stratton crashing into the mat and follows it up with a low dropkick on Stratton. Stratton then responds with a dropkick of her own on Lopez, then follows it up with a handspring back elbow in the corner. Naomi then nails Stratton with a crossbody, then hits a dropkick on Lopez in the corner. Naomi then sends Lopez crashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but Stratton breaks the fall and delivers some right hands on Naomi. Naomi then hits a double springboard Stunner on Stratton and Lopez, then hits a crossbody over the top rope to land on Lopez on the outside. Lopez then trips Stratton and cinches in a Half Boston Crab on her. Lopez then transitions into a pinfall before she, Naomi and Stratton take turns pinning one another. Lopez then hits a sit-out powerbomb on Naomi and goes for a pin, but Stratton breaks the fall. Stratton, Naomi and Lopez then hit right hands on one another, then nails an interfering Candice LeRae as she jumps up on the apron. Naomi then hits Lopez with a modified reverse DDT and goes for a pin, but Stratton flies off the apron to break the fall and sends Naomi out of the ring. Stratton then hits the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Lopez for the win.

After the match, Stratton celebrates her win with a fired up hometown crowd.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves then sends us to Byron Saxton in the backstage area and we find out that The Street Profits have been attacked. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then informs WWE Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns about this and Johnny Gargano shows up to offer #DIY’s services to replace The Street profits. Motor City Machine Guns agrees and Aldis tells Gargano to tell Ciampa not to make him regret this.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Piper Niven and Chelsea Green follow.

Singles Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair vs. Piper Niven

The match starts off with Bianca Belair hitting some shoulders on Piper Niven’s midsection. Belair then hits a kick on Niven, but Niven responds with a low crossbody and delivers more strikes on Belair. Niven then gets Belair up on one shoulder, but Belair runs the ropes. Chelsea Green then grabs Belair’s ankle, opening the door for Niven to hit a Sidewalk Slam on Belair. Niven then hits a running senton on Belair and goes for a pin. Belair then kicks out, but Niven cinches in a Bear Hug on her. Belair then fights her way out of it, then sends Niven crashing into opposite top turnbuckles and hits a crossbody on Niven off the top and goes for a pin. Niven then kicks out and Belair delivers some right hands on her in the corner. Belair then follows it up with a spear and goes for a pin, but Niven kicks out. Niven then hits a German suplex on Belair, but Belair sends her crashing into the mat and looks to follow it up with a springboard moonsault. Niven then gets her knees up, but Belair sends her crashing into the corner. Niven then sends Belair crashing into the mat and drags her into the corner. Niven then climbs up the ropes, but Belair nails her. Green then jumps up on the apron, but Belair pulls her into the ring and gets Niven up on her shoulders. Belair then hits a KOD on Niven on top of Green for the win.

We then head to the back and see an interview set being setup for Kevin Owens. Chad Gable vs. Cody Rhodes is then advertised for later tonight and we get a video recapping the WWE United States Championship win of Shinsuke Nakamura this past Saturday at Survivor Series: WarGames.

We then get a video recap of the Women’s WarGames Match. Bianca Belair is then shown walking backstage and she runs into Naomi. Belair then apologizes to Naomi for losing earlier. Byron Saxton then shows up and tells both women that he knows Piper Niven didn’t attack Jade Cargill because he saw where Niven was during the attack. Naomi then lists off all the women who could have done it. Belair then says when she finds out who did it, it will be on site and it will be over for them.

WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura then makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Before Nakamura can speak, LA Knight’s music hits and he makes his way out. Knight says Nakamura isn’t the real deal because he is and Nakamura is holding something he wants and demands his rematch for the United States Championship. Nakamura doesn’t speak and Knight says he’ll get what he wants by getting in the ring and making sure Nakamura gets stomped out. Andrade’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Andrade tells Knight that he’s not finished with him, but he’s here for Nakamura. Andrade then jumps up on the apron, but Tama Tonga pulls him off as Jacob Fatu blindsides Knight. Both men then continue beating down Andrade and Knight as Solo Sikoa joins them in the ring. Nakamura then jumps out of the ring as Sikoa, Tama and Fatu continue beating down Andrade. Knight then goes after Tama, but Tama overpowers him as Sikoa hits a Samoan Spike on Andrade. Sikoa then hits a second one on Knight and grabs a mic. Sikoa says anyone who thinks The Bloodline is weakened after WarGames and losing both Tonga Loa and Bronson Reed are wrong. Sikoa then says he’s tired of people thinking he’s a joke and not taking him seriously and he’s still The Tribal Chief and has the ula fala. Sikoa then says anyone who wants to oppose him will find out what Knight and Andrade just did, then demands that Minneapolis acknowledge him. The new Bloodline then hold up the one hand symbol.

We then head to the back, where we see Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa having a conversation. Ciampa says this doesn’t fix things yet as they should have had their title rematch months ago. Ciampa then says he still wanted an answer from Gargano regarding his question from last week and that he will see him out there.

We then see Kevin Owens cutting a promo from his car. Owens complains about having to travel to Minneapolis for a Michael Cole interview. Owens then says he’s not even going to go into the arena. Owens then tells Michael Cole to find him in his car instead or don’t because he doesn’t really even care.

Motor City Machine Guns then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and #DIY follows.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) (c) vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa)

The match starts off with Tommaso Ciampa and Chris Sabin. Ciampa blindsides Sabin from behind. Sabin then fights back and delivers some right hands on Ciampa, then hits a knee on Ciampa’s midsection and tags in Alex Shelley. Shelley then hits an Atomic Drop on Ciampa and the Motor City Machine Guns double team on him. Johnny Gargano then tags in and wears down Shelley’s arm with a submission, but Ciampa tags himself in and he is sent crashing out of the ring. Ciampa then hits Shelley with a reverse DDT and goes for a pin, but Shelley kicks out. Ciampa then sends Shelley into the corner and charges at him, but Shelley moves out of the way and tags in Sabin. Sabin then nails Ciampa with a couple of clotheslines, then follows it up with an Atomic Drop and a kick on his face. Sabin then hits Ciampa with a crossbody off the ropes and a back elbow in the corner, then tags in Shelley. Motor City Machine Guns then double team on Ciampa, but Ciampa rolls onto the apron. Ciampa then hits a jawbreaker on Shelley using the top rope, then follows it up with a neckbreaker and goes for a pin. Shelley then kicks out and Gargano tags himself in and Ciampa gets in his face. Ciampa then shoves Gargano, but Gargano returns the favor and tells Ciampa to get onto the apron. Shelley then sends Gargano crashing into the middle turnbuckle as Ciampa grabs a chair from the timekeeper’s area. Ciampa looks to use it, but the referee stops him. Motor City Machine Guns then set up for Skull and Bones, but Gargano low blows Sabin. #DIY then hits their Meet Me In The Middle finisher for the win.

Michael Cole then leaves the commentary desk to interview Kevin Owens in his car.

We then see a replay of the WWE Tag Title Championship changing hands. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) are then shown celebrating in the backstage area. Candice LeRae then shows up and congratulates them. They then say they will tell their kids they aren’t losers.

Michael Cole walks out to Kevin Owens’ car and is asked to get into the car. Cole then complains about not being in the building. Owens then says he is tired of being told he couldn’t come into the building and now he wanted someone to come outside with him. Cole then says he wanted to give Owens an unbiased interview and Owens calls Cole a Cody Rhodes fanboy. Cole then says that isn’t fair as they have known each other for 10 years. Owens then says he can’t believe he doesn’t see this the way he does. Owens then says he is sick and tired of everything being about Cody Rhodes. Owens then says Rhodes’ image is everywhere and he gets three pyros during his entrance. Owens then says Rhodes betrayed him on top of everything. Cole then says Sami Zayn and The Usos thought it was a good idea to help Roman Reigns and Owens says he doesn’t care about what they thought. Owens then says Cole doesn’t have any friends and so he doesn’t understand betrayal. Cole then says he has some advice for Owens and tells him to look in a mirror because this is all about him. Owens then gets heated and tells Cole to get out of his car. Owens then calls out to Cole one more time and when he looks back Owens closes the window in his face.

We then head to the back, where we see Carmelo Hayes approaching Nick Aldis as he is speaking to GUNTHER. Melo asks Aldis what he is doing about the transfer window because if he isn’t a priority on Smackdown then Monday Night Melo on Netflix sounds fine to him. Aldis then tells Melo that isn’t a threat and he would love if he became Adam Pearce’s problem, but he did have something in mind for him. Melo then turns around to gloat and when he turns back Aldis is gone.

Singles Match: Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes vs. American Made’s Chad Gable

The match starts off with both men locking up. Gable then hits a boot on Rhodes’ midsection, but Rhodes responds by sending Gable crashing into the mat delayed vertical suplex style. Rhodes then looks to run the ropes, but Ivy Nile hops up on the apron to stop him. Gable then takes advantage and begins targeting Rhodes’ knee, then sends it bouncing off the ring post. Gable then delivers some strikes on Rhodes. Rhodes then hits Gable with a variation of a superplex, then nails him and follows it up with a spinebuster. Rhodes then hits Gable with a Disaster Kick and a Cody Cutter, then looks to pin Gable. Brutus Creed then pulls Gable out of the ring, but the referee ejects him, Julius Creed and Ivy Nile from ringside. Rhodes then hits a Cody Cutter on Gable off the top, then sets up for then Cross-Rhodes. Gable then cinches in an Ankle Lock on Rhodes’ exposed foot, but Rhodes makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold. Gable then hits a German Suplex on Rhodes. Gable then goes for a moonsault, but Rhodes avoids it and hits the Cross-Rhodes for the win.

After the match, Rhodes clutches his ankle. Kevin Owens then appears in the ring and stomps away on the bad ankle of Rhodes. Owens then follows it up with elbows and more stomps and WWE officials make their way down to the ring to break things up. Rhodes then fights through the officials and sends Owens to ringside and then dives through the ropes on Owens. Both men then brawls at ringside again before being separated again and the show comes to a close.
