AEW boss Tony Khan isn’t losing any sleep over Eric Bischoff’s criticism. The former WCW mastermind has taken plenty of shots at AEW, recently claiming there’s “no hope” for the promotion. However, during an appearance on K&C Masterpiece, Khan made it clear he’s not fazed by Bischoff’s comments.

“I have no idea,” Khan said when asked about why Eric is critical. “I don’t really care what he says. We have done really, really well and we have a great thing going with AEW and something to be really proud of.”

Khan discussed AEW’s success despite Bischoff’s negativity, pointing to the company’s record-breaking achievements and its new multi-year deal with Warner Brothers Discovery. “We’re not only, for years to come, going to be doing shows on TBS and TNT, but we’re going to set the record for the longest run of pro wrestling ever on TNT,” Khan explained.

Khan also touched on AEW’s historic ticket sales and its upcoming expansion into streaming. Starting January 1, Dynamite will continue airing on TBS while also livestreaming on Max, Warner Brothers’ premier streaming platform.

“It’s really important for the future to also have a foothold in streaming, and that’s what we’re going to have now with AEW on Max,” Khan said. “I think AEW is doing fantastic.”

Bischoff’s remarks come amid AEW’s challenges with declining ratings and attendance, but Khan remains focused on the future. With the new media rights deal, AEW is poised to expand its reach both on cable and streaming, giving fans more ways to stay connected with the action.
