The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament is officially underway, and speculation is already swirling about when the historic finals will take place. While WWE hasn’t made an official announcement, industry insider Dave Meltzer suggests the climactic match could happen on January 6, 2025, when Monday Night RAW makes its highly anticipated debut on Netflix.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer broke down the timing of the tournament and its potential finale. “The women’s IC title tournament on RAW started this week with Kai beating Baszler and Chance in a three-way,” Meltzer noted. “Kai goes on to face the winner of a Stark vs. Rodriguez vs. Carter three-way. On the 12/9 show, Valkyria vs. Vega vs. Nile takes place. The winner of that faces the winner of Fyre vs. Natalya vs. Sane. The way the timing works out, I can see the finals on the first Netflix show. WWE has not announced when the finals would be however.”

The tournament itself has generated massive excitement, featuring top-tier talent competing for the chance to make history. With matches like Dakota Kai defeating Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance to advance on the left side of the bracket, the stakes are already high. Upcoming triple-threat bouts like Zoey Stark vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kayden Carter and Alba Fyre vs. Kairi Sane vs. Natalya promise to deliver more show-stealing moments.

WWE’s decision to potentially host the finals on RAW’s Netflix debut makes perfect sense. A landmark night like January 6 provides the perfect stage to crown the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion, ensuring the new title receives the spotlight it deserves.
