LA Knight’s US Championship Pursuit Squashed with Surprise Beatdown During 12/6 WWE SmackDown

WWE has a lot of things in the pipeline, even after a big premium live event. SmackDown brought the aftermath of Survivor Series: WarGames, and that included hearing from our new United States Champion.

Shinsuke Nakamura upset LA Knight to win the WWE United States Title at Survivor Series: WarGames. That was a huge shock for fans, and they followed up on that during the December 6 WWE SmackDown.

Nakamura made his way to the ring during the start of the blue brand’s second hour. He didn’t get a chance to say a word before LA Knight came out. The former US Champion made it clear that he wants his rematch for the title, and he demanded it immediately.

After Nakamura didn’t respond, LA Knight continued to berate him with a slew of verbal insults. He also put on sunglasses to block Shinsuke’s mist as he took to the ring. Suddenly, Andrade made his way out to lay his claim to the title. Suddenly, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu jumped in the ring and attacked LA Knigth and Andrade. The stood up to Nakamura, but they let the U.S. Champion leave the ring without taking damage.

Then, as “OTC” chants rang out, the Bloodline continued their assault on LA Knight and Andrade. This was followed by Solo Sikoa picking up the microphone to cut a promo.

LA Knight has chased the WWE United States Title before. He won the championship at SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland Browns Stadium. He toppled Logan Paul to end his impressive title reign, but his time with the title was not as long as The Maverick received. We will have to see how Andrade changes the picture.
