Wrestling legend Konnan has faced a series of major health challenges over the years, and his struggles aren’t over yet. The Hall of Fame-worthy star, who was recently hospitalized for a month due to diverticulitis, is still dealing with complications after being released.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter from Dave Meltzer, Konnan’s health remains fragile. “He’s had issues with being out of breath and lethargic and at one point was hyperventilating for seven hours,” Meltzer reported. Doctors discovered that Konnan had eight pounds of water surrounding his heart, which was successfully drained before he was released from the hospital again.

Konnan’s health problems date back several years. After contracting COVID-19 in February 2021, he underwent heart surgery to address complications from the virus. That wasn’t the end of his medical struggles, as he required a second kidney transplant in early 2022. His first transplant, in 2007, led to further complications when his body rejected the kidney, forcing him to rely on anti-rejection medications.

While Konnan’s resilience has been remarkable, these recurring health issues have left fans deeply concerned for the beloved wrestler’s well-being.
