Eric Bischoff has never been one to shy away from sharing his unfiltered thoughts, and his latest remarks about AEW prove that the WCW legend is as outspoken as ever. Following his appearance on the December 3 episode of WWE NXT, Bischoff faced backlash from a fan who linked him to the show’s lower-than-usual viewership.

“@EBischoff shows up, and @WWENXT does its worst ratings in more than a year,” the fan tweeted, taking aim at Bischoff’s star power.

The former WCW President wasted no time in firing back, using AEW’s own numbers as ammo. “And STILL beats @AEW. Did you see the quarter hours? You should see the minute-by-minute numbers! 😎,” Bischoff clapped back on X, highlighting that NXT pulled in 593,000 viewers compared to AEW Dynamite’s 586,000 on December 4.

Bischoff’s sharp rebuttal didn’t stop there. When another fan accused him of being “obsessed” with AEW, he delivered a scathing response that left no room for interpretation.

“Not at all. Like the majority of people who are interested in pro wrestling in general, I couldn’t care less about AEW. It’s gone from being an exciting new opportunity, to a promotion that was expanding yet going through growing pains, to a disappointment, and now an embarrassment to the genre,” Bischoff posted.

He didn’t hold back, adding, “I probably DO get too much enjoyment out of f***ing with the IWC and the dirtsheet/cagematch nerds than I should. It’s a never-ending journey into the depths of a delusional, bizarre subculture. Just when you think you’ve arrived at the bottom, you realize clueless has a basement.”

The fiery exchange comes after Bischoff’s appearance on NXT, where he joined the build-up for the Trick Williams vs. Ridge Holland title match at NXT Deadline. While viewership for the episode wasn’t groundbreaking, Bischoff’s comments have reignited conversations about AEW’s struggles and WWE’s dominance in the wrestling world.
